Call for papers

The 11th ICCC & 8th APCCS warmly welcome scientific presentations from all areas of chitin/chitosan and related systems. Please submit your abstract(s) through the web page according to the following guidelines.

The Editorial office of “Carbohydrate Polymers” is kind to offer the opportunity of valuable papers presented in this conference to be published in a special issue. The authors will be asked to summit their papers to go through a reviewing process by the peers selected by the scientific committee of this conference. The qualified paper will be published in a special issue of “Carbohydrate Polymers".

Abstract Deadline

Abstract must be received through the web page not later than June 15, 2009. No corrections and changes will be allowed after submission.

Instructions for Abstract

1.    Abstracts should be edited in MS-word, yet, it has to be transferred into a PDF file. Only a PDF file can be uploaded.

2.      All text must be in English and typed in Times New Roman.

3.      Paper size should be A4, 21 cm x 29.7 cm (8.26 in x 11.6 in) and margins are set for 3.0 cm (top, end) and 2.5 cm (left, right).

4.      The maximum length of abstracts should not exceed 500 words.

5.      Allow one line space between the items given below:

Title

* Titles should be lined in the left side of page and typed in Times New Roman font 12, bold.

  *  Only the first letter is capitalized.

Authors

*  Names of the authors should be lined in the left side of page, typed in Time New Roman font 11, marked with numbers 1,2,3,…, if affiliations of authors are different.

*     The presenting author’s name should be underline and the corresponding author’s name should be marked with an asterisk*.

Affiliation

l          Names of affiliations should be lined in the left side of page, typed in Times New Roman font 10, italic.

l          When author’s affiliations are different, they should be identified with a number in superscript at the beginning of each affiliation.

l          E-mail address of corresponding authors should be given.

Body text

l          Body text should be typed in Times New Roman font 12 using single space.

Full Paper Submission

All participants with presentations are requested to submit full paper manuscripts (Invited lectures: 10 pages; poster/oral presentation: 5 pages).

 Full Paper Deadline

Full paper should be received through the web page not later than July 31, 2009. No corrections and changes will be allowed after submission.

Instructions for Full Paper

1.    Papers should be edited in MS-word, yet, it has to be transferred into a PDF file. Only a PDF file can be uploaded.

2.      All text must be in English with Times New Roman in a single space.

3.      Paper size should be in A4, 21 cm x 29.7 cm (8.26 in x 11.6 in) and margins are set for 3.0 cm (top, end) and 2.5 cm (left, right).

4.      The length of paper including Tables/Figures should be 10 pages for invited lectures and 5 pages for poster/oral presentation.

5.      Allow one space among below items, respectively, except for Tables/Figures.

6.      Do not split words with a hyphen at the end of a line. Only use hyphens that are part of the word or word combination.

l          Corresponding author’s name should be marked with an asterisk*.

l          Names of affiliations should be lined in the left side of page, typed in Times New Roman font 10, italic.

l          When author’s affiliations are different, they should be identified with a number in superscript at the beginning of each affiliation.

l          E-mail address of corresponding authors should be given.

     Main text

l          Names of heads should be typed in Times New Roman font 12, bold and in left side. Only the first letter is capitalized. 

l          Single space in all body text and double space between body text and next head.

l          Text must be justified and not be put in columns.

1   All citations in the text should refer to: 1. Single author: the author's last name (without initials) and the year of publication; 2. Two authors: both authors' names and the year of publication; 3. Three or more authors: first author's name followed by et al. and the year of publication. Groups of references should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically. Examples: "as demonstrated (Chen, 1999; Don and Chiu, 1995). Kramer et al. (2000) have recently shown..." The list of references must be arranged alphabetically on authors' names, and should be as full as possible, listing all authors, the full title of articles and full title of journals, and year.
